The curriculum of FMS is designed to maneuver students towards 'The pathway of success'. At FMS we follow NCERT model of teaching and learning ("learning by Doing"), where concept based and application-oriented teaching methodology is adopted to ensure practical development of life skills in students. Our curriculum hones each child's skills and abilities by grooming them in intellectual, social, moral and emotional dimensions of life. Academic Programs are uniquely planned to acquire the scholastic and life skills required at each level.


LANGUAGES : The school offers three languages as prescribed by C.B.S.E. Curriculum

   # English is the First language as the medium of instruction is English.
   # Hindi being the national language is compulsory as the second language.
   # Sanskrit is compulsory for STD VI to VIII as the third language. 

Languages are taught not for mere academic interest but to improve communication Skills. Language skills enable pupil's ability to think conceptually, write Creatively, and also improve reading. Communication in English is strictly observed by all student in the classroom and also in the premises of the school. Failing to do so, the student will therefore be disciplined or fined by the school administration. 

Science : Helps to develop process and enquiry skills as well as knowledge and understanding. Science aids to build scientific temper and improve analytical skills. It inculcates investigation skills to stimulate creative thought. Children learn to ask scientific questions and will begin to use science to explain their world in terms of how and why. 

Mathematics : Skills in mathematics is an important tool for each individual. Mathematical competence enhance logical thinking, reasoning and problem solving abilities. 

Civics : Enables comprehension of the working of the Indian Government, Principles of Indian Constitution and its significance. Civics enriches the understanding of Indian politics and helps student to grow up as a responsible Citizen.. 

Economics : An important element for the social animal called MAN, who has to understand the utility and flow of monetary funds in his day to day life. Teaching Learning of Economics not only inculcates knowledge but also creates responsibility towards individual and social level too. 

Computer studies : To impart basic computer skill in order to foster their efficiency and productivity as they prepare themselves for their career. 

Arts : In order to up bring the innate talent of the pupils, the school provides Craft, Drawing and Fine Art period for each class. Professional teachers for the respective areas are appointed to groom the abilities of student and to guide them in the field of Art. Fabric Glass Clay, Mat and Waste Materials like old news papers sticks etc. are used to make Art more fun filled and productive for day to day life.

Music : School provides all possible opportunities to learn and perform the music at different levels. Professional teachers are appointed to nurture the skills in Vocal and musical instruments like Guitar, Keyboard, Tabala, Drums etc. with the latest instruments 

Physical Education : Healthy body nurtures healthy mind. FMS lays great emphasis on Physical Training as a part of their learning process. In view of this, a part from the general Physical training program, Physical activities like sports, Karate, and school band are also included in the curriculum. Weekly Yoga Classes are also held for mental relaxation.

Value Education : Moral and Ethical values are instilled in students through moral science.

Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (C.C.E) : as per the directions and guidelines provided by CBSE, the school implements Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (C.C.E) method to evaluate the all-round holistic developments in a child. Continuous and comprehensive evaluation (C.C.E) refer to a system of school based evaluation of students that covers all aspects of students development. Two fold objective of C.C.E. are, continuous evaluation and assessment of each student on the broad aspect of learning.

In this scheme the term Continuous is meant to emphasize on the evaluation of different aspect of student's growth and development which is a continuous process rather than an event. School therefore would initiate regularity, frequency, diagnoses, use of corrective measures, retesting as different measures.

The term Comprehensive means that the scheme attends to cover both the scholastic and co-scholastic aspects of student's growth and development. Emphasis therefore would be on holistic learning assessing not only on cognitive domain but also in psychological and affective domain. In order to have C.C.E. both Scholastic and Co-Scholastic aspects will be given dude recognition and will be reflected in the progress report card, Assessment will be periodically administered weekly, fortnightly, monthly and quarterly.

Assessment of scholastic domain constitutes of Formative and Summative. Formative assessment will include testing and evaluation of conversation skills, assignments, class work, Home work, oral questions, projects, quizzes, research work etc. The student's performance in this area will be evaluated and graded in the report card, Summative assessment is carried out at the end of the course of learning. There will be two Summative tests (term tests) one in the month of September and 2nd in the month of March.

As per C.C.E. Scheme co-scholastic skills which includes social skill, emotional skill, life skill, thinking skill, values and attitudes, will be assessed and graded in the report card. All students have to participate in sports, cultural and other co-curricular activities. Each students has to pursue any two sports and should take initiative to contribute towards literary, scientific, aesthetic, art, health and eco-Social club.
